The Dragon's Shadows

For centuries, the small village of Hikonoki Mura lived in quiet respect, known across the land for its timber of unmatched quality. Their devotion was rewarded when the shogun sent a wooden statue of a dragon carved from their own cedar, a symbol of trust and honor that bound the people and the empire together. The statue was small, yet it carried the weight of generations.

That peace ended when Asura Mistabe, a rival lord driven by envy, hired a witch named Asika and her mercenaries to steal the statue. The attack left the village master dead, the guards slain, and its legacy shattered. Those who survived became ronin, warriors without a master, forced to carry the burden of restoring the honor of their fallen home.

Nakasi Usunake, son of the master’s protector, takes command of what remains of the old guard. Alongside him stands the hot-tempered fighter Asukima Naku, the scholar monk Asu Bante, and the steady craftsman Hunake Asibashi. Together they seek the stolen dragon statue and face the witch whose dark arts turn air, fire, and silence into weapons.

The Dragon’s Shadow is a tale of loyalty and sacrifice, where each battle is not only fought with steel but also with spirit. It is a story of a small village standing against greed and sorcery, and of a young leader who must learn that true honor is not given by title but forged by the courage to protect what cannot be replaced.
